Our Commitment to Teachers’ Recruitment and Development
Each teacher is selected by a rigorous screening and interview based process. Actual classroom teaching is an important selection criterion. After selection, every teacher undergoes orientation. In keeping with the corporate structure, annual appraisals, 360 degree and reverse appraisals are conducted.
The teachers in our schools undergo select competency and skill based training each year. The competency based training comprises of workshops on Time Management, Leadership Values, Communication Skills, Ownership, Mentoring and Team Building. We also encourage building up of skills by attending subject based workshops organized by the NCERT and different schools throughout India. The presence of an excellent staff-counseling cell has helped by improving interpersonal relationships and encouraged teamwork. Technology is an integral part of teaching at Calorx Foundation. The teachers are trained to incorporate laptops, LCDs and other audio visual tools in their teaching method.
Besides teaching, educators are involved in nearly all the activities in the school. To this end, every teacher is a part of at least one committee, which is involved in student, parent or educator related activities.
