Calorx Foundation, Ahmedabad is a not for profit and professionally managed autonomous institution, registered under the Indian Trust Act. The Foundation has focused its activities on K-12 education since its inception in 1995.
The Foundation completed 10 years of working in the field of Education in 2005.
The Calorx Foundation is promoted by the Calorx Group of Companies, New Delhi. The group of companies is involved in various business areas including Real Estate, Hospitality, and Finance. The Foundation has focused its activities on K-12 education since its inception.
The Calorx Foundation has been instrumental in starting the following project till date and still growing:
- The Delhi Public School, Bopal, launched in 1996
- Prerna, a special education school for dyslexic children, launched in 2001
- Visamo Kids Foundation, a shelter for the underprivileged children, launched in 2002
- Post Earthquake – Relief and Rehabilitation work, 2002
- Post Tsunami – Relief and Rehabilitation work, 2004
- The Calorx School, an International Baccalaureate (IB) school, launched in 2007
- The Delhi Public School, East Ahmedabad, launched in 2008
- Calorx Public School – Mundra, launched in 2008
The Delhi Public School has become one of the leading English Medium Schools in Gujarat. The Visamo Kids Foundation has nearly 40 children from underprivileged families studying in good English medium schools in Ahmedabad. Calorx – Prerna is a special education school for children with Learning Disabilities such as Dyslexia.
The Calorx Foundation has also participated in Relief and Rehabilitation work after the devastating earthquake in Gujarat in 2001. The relief and rehabilitation work in Gujarat was focused on reconstruction of schools damaged by the killer quake.
The Foundation is constructing two schools in the Little Andamans which were destroyed by the tsunami in December, 2004.
